Friends of the Coastal Branch Library are pleased to announce that Carol Dickson is their featured artist for the month of May.

Carol Dickson is known as the Watercolor Weaver because she has two passions: watercolor art and basket weaving.

DSCF9239 - CopyCarol has been weaving baskets for 34 years now and creates unique baskets with reed, grapevines and pine needles. The Emerald Coast is the perfect spot for collecting long leaf pine needles for her baskets.

Sharing her talents comes naturally and she teaches classes in watercolor and basket weaving around the area. Scheduled classes are held at the Bayou Arts Center in Santa Rosa Beach. She also teaches groups and individuals wherever she is invited. To register for her class, contact Lee Greene at 850-622-5970.

Carol’s art and baskets will be displayed in the Coastal Branch Library in Santa Rosa Beach during the month of May.
